Spitball Makes Me Money

This is a picture of a spitball or cat, as some bleeding heart liberals call these creatures. It is saying, 'I can has cheezburger?' It is saying this because one Eric Nakagawa put that caption on a cat picture and, as a result, his blog took off and now he can charge $4,000 for for an ad. I'm not proud. If I have to make a deal with these sinister creatures, then so be it. Actually, to be honest, this 'cat' is saying, 'Speak to my agent, scumsucker.'

  1. Well my cat, having spent much of last week warming its back on my laptop, started behaving even more oddly than usual and left home for most of yesterday and the day before. I can only assume it was punishing me for being part of this virulently anti-cat blog - Lord know what it'll do when it sees the latest...

  2. I give up. I mean what's the point? From now on I'm posting nothing but funny cat pictures.

  3. to my horror i love that cheezburger site. It's the sort of thing my mother would like, and here i am guffawing at it without shame. Woe.

i believe this is a momentous post on your blog - the first to use a picture - and a picture of a cat at that.

  4. As the original cat on Nakagawa's site appears to be a classic British shorthair, the odds are good it was actually saying, "Tony promised me an M.B.E. for putting up with this."

  5. 'I can has cheezburger?' could have been all Mr Nakagawa had the strength to ask for. Any self-respecting cat would demand at least 90/10 in its favour plus its expenses, of course. Poor Mr Nakagawa could easily be living on pennies, cheeseburgers and all else having become an impossible dream.

Time to find a tough squirrel who understands "All yr kittys r pOwned".

  8. Just change 'Thought Experiments' to 'Cats Kicked Here'?

Your server would no doubt crash with the deluge of hits, and your comment box might be full to overflowing with manic insults from crazed cat lovers, but you'd be guaranteed a daily visit from me just in the hope of photographic evidence.

Nige, did your cat return? Our old boy often goes off for a day or two, then comes home and sleeps it off.

  13. Bryan, Bryan, Bryan... look, mate, if its money making you're after the word isn't Cat but Pussy...

  14. Yes, Susan - the cat's home again - can't have read Bryan's post after all... (By the way, I refer to said cat as 'it' because s/he is, er, confused. The vet said a spayed female and s/he certainly acts female in most ways, but other evidence has since come to light that casts doubt on the diagnosis... Funny things, cats.)
